Ideas made tangible. Systems under investigation.

A closer look at our engineering initiatives and research directions—from AI model routing to distributed security and intelligent infrastructure.

01Engineering Project

ASTER

A gateway layer between applications and AI models, with routing as its central concern.

ASTER sits between calling software and the models that answer it. The problem it exists to solve is routing: deciding which model should handle a given request, and exposing one consistent interface so that decision can change without the caller knowing.

It is infrastructure built to be operated. Kept deliberately separate from the studio's research work and described in terms of what it does rather than what it might become.

Asteria Media

Self-hosted media library management and streaming, running on infrastructure the owner controls.

Asteria Media organises a personal media library and streams it, deployed on infrastructure the owner operates rather than a third-party platform.

Self-hosting is the point, not an implementation detail: the library, its metadata, and its availability stay under the owner's control.

Research Computing

Computational environments, notebooks, and automation behind the studio's research directions.

The environments, notebooks, and supporting tooling that the research directions run on.

Its purpose is narrow and practical: make an experiment straightforward to launch, straightforward to repeat, and straightforward for someone else to check.
